About Me!

Hello, my name is David Gernovich. I've been doing drag since
1997, when I won my first crown “Miss Carousal '97”.
From there I won “Miss Desert State NCC '98”,
“3rd alternate Miss National Capitol Cities NCC”.
I am currently 1st alternate to “Miss Gay Tucson America 2002”.
I was born in Phoenix AZ, Aug. 20th 1974.
I moved to Tucson, AZ a few months before I started kindergarten.

Doing drag is not something I cared to do at first. When I
first started going out, people would always say, "you should do
drag, your small and pretty." I loved to watch the shows, but
thought it would be silly of me to do drag. Well, I ended up doing
my first show (Oh girl, put on some more make-up, cover-girl does not
cover boy) and then 12 weeks later running for my first pageant. My
boyfriend at the time was my dancer and my keystone through it all.
(He taught me to never stop doing something you love for someone
else - Thank you so much for that understanding and support from him
and his family). Guess what, I won. I was not expecting that. From
then I learned how to become a better performer (and still learning
everyday) and never forgot where I came from and who helped get me
there. I do a lot of volunteer work with an organization named Queer
Voice/The Lounge. A lot of the people there are youth and future
queens. They help me stay grounded in my giving back to the
community. Thanks Mikey, Ruben and the gang at the lounge.

This web page is a chance for me to share my life (and photos)
with all of you. Thank you for all of your love and support in making
me who I am today. Also, "never give up always have faith within
your self and everything you do."

                                     Faith

P.S. Thank You Zeke for making this web page happen.
